What is Stella's Play Yard?

We are a soft play and party rental company with a focus on providing an environment where infants and toddlers can have fun too!
Our play yard offers a safe and unique environment for infants and toddlers ages crawling – 5 years to develop their gross motor skills.

What are your safety rules?

• The welfare of the children playing on Stella’s Play Yard equipment is left with the hirer. Stella’s Play Yard and its employees accept no responsibility for any injuries caused whilst playing on Stella’s Play Yard equipment.
• All children must be supervised by an adult when using Stella’s Play Yard equipment
• Stella’s Play Yard equipment is only suitable for age ranges between crawling – 5 years old and MUST NOT be used by any adult or child older than 5 years old.
• No shoes, sneakers, flip flops or sandals to be worn on the mats, soft play items, ball pit, or bounce house.
• No food, candy, gum, or beverages in the play area and/or while playing on any of Stella’s Play Yard equipment.
• No pushing, shoving, wrestling, horseplay, or piling
• No more than the recommended amount of players at any one time
• All sharp objects must be removed before play (including pens, pencils, jewelry, knives, bling on pockets, etc.)
• Any equipment damaged during hire should be removed from the play area immediately to avoid possible injury and reported to Stella’s Play Yard.
• Please keep all equipment supplied by Stella’s Play Yard dry and out of the rain.
• Please ensure you keep the equipment on the mats that we supply to avoid damage and possible injury to users.

Must children be supervised while using rental equipment?

Yes, children must be supervised by an adult at all times while using our equipment.

Can the Soft Play be used in the rain if I purchase the tent add-on?

No, the tent is not meant to provide protection from rain or lightning. The tent should solely be used for providing the children comfort from the sun. Please see rules governing weather for any weather related questions.

What happens if rain is expected at my outdoor event?

In the event of rain or inclement weather, an alternate location is required. If 48 hours prior to the date of the event the hirer has not been able to find an alternate location, we have the right to cancel the booking or reschedule to a different date. The new date will depend on availability.
In the event that unexpected rain occurs, please note that our rentals should not be used in the rain.

What are the rules surrounding the equipment getting wet?

All rentals and equipment must not get wet and remain dry. In the event of a pool party or splashpad, please keep those activities separate from Soft Play and bounce house rentals.

What is the policy for setup and pickup?

We require at least one hour for setup prior to the start of the event, and an hour for take down after the provided end time. The rental time does not begin until setup and is complete and ends before take down begins.
The hirer must be present at time of setup to sign off on the good condition of the equipment. If damage to equipment is found during pickup, the hirer may be charged the cost of repairing or replacing the damaged item(s). A receipt will be provided detailing the incurred expenses.
• Please be aware of the sizes of all our equipment that you wish to hire and ensure you have enough space and clearance for it at your venue. No refund will be made if the space set aside for the equipment is too small and inappropriate.
• All equipment is supplied in sound condition. It is this responsibility of the hirer to check its condition prior to the event and report any damage.
• Please be aware of the Play Rules board which accompanies the Soft Play area.
• Hours of hire are between 09.00am and 19.00pm EST unless prior arrangements are agreed.
• Collection after 19.00pm will be chargeable at $20 per hour up to 21.00pm.
• Collections after 19.00pm must be agreed upon prior to the hire and may not be agreed in every instance.
• Should a collection later than 21.00pm be required, an overnight hire charge of $60 will be chargeable.
Overnight hire may not be agreed in every instance and will be decided upon on an event by event basis.
• Overnight hire will only be granted if the equipment is in a safe secure location and protected from the external elements at all times.
• The hirer will be responsible for the safe keeping of the equipment throughout this period.
• In the event of inclement weather, an alternate location is required. If 48 hours prior to the date of the event the hirer has not been able to find an alternate location, we have the right to cancel the booking or reschedule to a different date. The new date will depend on availability.

Is a deposit required and is it refundable?

• A 50% deposit will be required to secure any booking of Stella’s Play Yard. No booking will be deemed to be confirmed until the deposit is received in full.
• The full balance will be required 72 hours prior to the start of the event.
• Deposits are refundable for cancellations made at least 8 days prior to the event.
• Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the event will result in the loss of the deposit.
• Any equipment lost or damaged will be charged at the full replacement/repair cost.
When is payment due and how do I pay?

Full payment is due 72 hours prior to the event.
Payments may be made by Check or Venmo at this time.
